Windows 10 Buyer Beware: Startling Security Settings

You may not want to “get going” so fast that you just click through during Windows 10 setup.  Some of the data that is being collected about you is quite interesting, even in a world of big data and meta-data collectivism.

These screens come from the “Get Going Fast” screen.  If you click “Customize” instead of just clicking Next, it opens up these options to disable much of the data sharing.  The one that is most interesting to me is the idea of sharing your network.  Maybe fine for personal use but not something you’d want your employees doing on a work computer.

… although I will add it is nice to be able to turn these “features” off.
